POSITION

In the role of HVAC Installation Technician your primary responsibility will be installing HVAC in commercial and multi-unit residential buildings including both retrofits of existing building and new construction.

The successful candidate will become involved in a wide variety of projects including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, coil replacements, packaged rooftop units, variable refrigerant volume multi-head split systems, natural gas piping and conversions, exhaust fans, and air handlers and building automation systems. The candidate will be supported by other Journeyman HVAC mechanics and Red-Seal Electricians as required and depending on the certifications of the successful candidate.

In addition, the successful candidate is a self-starter, and interested in a dynamic career with a growing company. The ideal candidate has fluent computer skills, the ability to manage all the "day to day" components of a project, reporting to the manager of construction projects. Working closely with service team, professional engineers and sales professionals, we will grow the business as a team in a positive, fun environment.

Responsibilities

This position requires the candidate to execute and complete a diverse range of tasks in order see the project through to conclusion. The successful candidate will have previous installation experience and have trade certifications in one or more of the following areas.

• Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Certifications
• Natural Gas Certifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the layout and specifications of HVAC systems.
• Install VRV/VRF split systems.
• Install various HVAC systems.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
• Candidates with previous commercial experience will be given preference.
• Strong technical skills, sound trade knowledge
• Strong team player, good interpersonal skills.
• Candidate must have a strong work ethic and must be able to work under timeline and budget constraints.
• Candidate must be well organized and must be able to develop detailed project execution plans.
• Candidate must be well versed and a demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Available to travel throughout NB and PEI as required.
• Valid driver's license and criminal background check
