Overview

We are recruiting for a 3rd or 4th year HVAC Apprentice position on our Day shift to join our Kitchener Production team.

This is a unionized position with a wage range of $33.66 - $36.95 per hour.

Key Ingredients

• Assemble, disassemble and modify mechanical equipment working from engineering drawings, field sketches, other related documents and verbal instruction needed to perform assigned duties.
• Must participate and work within safety regulations and guidelines while maintaining a safe work environment for all plant employees.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on all HVAC facility equipment safely.
• Ensure production downtime is minimized and production output is maximized.
• Respond promptly to breakdown calls and troubleshoot/repair the problems.
• Perform breakdown analysis to create action plans to address root causes.

Recipe for Success

• Must be in 3rd or 4th year of apprenticeship.
• Required to have G2 Gas Fitter License.
• Minimum 2-5 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant working experience in a fast-paced team environment.
• Demonstrate solid communication and interpersonal skills in a team-based work environment.
• Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical diagrams and schematics drawings.
• Experience in a food manufacturing environment would be considered a definite asset.
