The HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. This includes diagnosing issues, performing regular inspections, and ensuring systems are operating efficiently. The technician should have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, be skilled in troubleshooting, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
Installation:
Install new HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heaters, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals to ensure proper setup.
Maintenance:
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal operation.
Clean and replace air filters, lubricate moving parts, and check refrigerant levels.
Test electrical circuits and components for continuity and safety.
Repair:
Diagnose problems with HVAC systems and determine the best course of action for repairs.
Replace or repair faulty components such as motors, compressors, thermostats, and ductwork.
Perform emergency repairs and ensure systems are back online quickly.
Customer Service:
Communicate with clients to explain issues, recommend solutions, and provide cost estimates.
Maintain a professional demeanor and ensure customer satisfaction with services provided.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local and national safety regulations.
Follow all company protocols and procedures for health and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an HVAC technical training program or apprenticeship.
Certifications:
EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) Certification for handling refrigerants.
NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is a plus.
Experience:
2+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician or in a related field.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Ability to work at heights, such as on rooftops.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
