HVAC Technician – G1

The HVAC Technician will deliver industry-leading service to our clients, primarily focused on new construction projects. You will work closely with contractors through installation and commission of equipment to respond quickly to technical questions and provide on-site support throughout start-up, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.

Here’s what you’ll be doing in the role:

1. Provide customers with top-level support on products.
2. Startup and commission new product installations, working alongside installing contractor to ensure optimal operation.
3. Provide telephone support to installers and service technicians on installation (wiring, piping, programming) and operational issues related to equipment supplied.
4. Work with sales staff to support them in layout and integration of equipment.
5. Liaise with manufacturer’s technical support to obtain support documents and technical information that will assist customers with installation and/or configuration of equipment.
6. Provide field support in installation, troubleshooting and configuration of equipment through entire lifecycle.
7. Support warranty claim processing, working with both contractor and internal sales team to address product failures in a timely manner.
8. Occasionally attend manufacturer facilities for technical training on product lines.
9. Work with products including, but not limited to: LG variable refrigerant flow air source heat pumps, Bousquet and Valent air handling solutions, CET hazardous gas monitoring, Dryotron natatorium dehumidification, Neptronic humidification solutions.

Here’s what you bring to the role:

1. G1 gas technician license is required. A license is a definite asset and desired.
2. Current and continuing member of the Ontario College of Trade in good standing.
3. At least 5 years’ service experience in the trade working on ICI projects.
4. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
5. Valid G Drivers License with a clean driving record.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) with a proven ability to work with internal teams and customers in a way that represents the company brand and values at all times.
7. Conscientious and diligent with a proactive attitude.
8. Punctual, reliable, strong sense of integrity and maturity.
9. Strong computer and electronic skills related to HVAC equipment.
10. An ability and willingness to learn new applications is required.
11. Ability to travel within the GTA including downtown core, Halton and Southwestern Ontario.
