Huronia Transition Homes is a non-profit organization working to end all violence against all women. We operate 4 primary programs, including La Maison Rosewood Shelter, a woman-centered organization that provides support to women who are fleeing violence or experiencing homelessness. We are committed to providing services within an intersectional feminist and harm reduction integrated environment.

Huronia Transition Homes is currently hiring a Director of Finance. In this position, the Director of Finance will report to the Executive Director and will be a member of the senior leadership team. The Director is responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the organization and providing accurate and timely information to the Executive Director, as well as advice and guidance on all accounting matters, including financial systems, record keeping, and analysis and reporting. The Director of Finance will oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization's financials, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, A/P, A/R, and payroll, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures, including financial risk management.

The successful candidate must possess:

• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Hands-on experience with accounting and financial management software (e.g., SAGE)
• Familiarity with the Ontario Non-Profit Corporations Act
• Expertise in MS Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical skills
• Familiarity with the structure of nonprofit organizations
• Genuine interest in our mission
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Accounting Designation with 10+ years of progressive experience in medium-sized organizations, preferably non-profits
• MPA or MBA in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field preferred
