YOUR MISSION:

As Talent & Culture Specialist, you will be the heartbeat behind our organization, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement, development and well-being. You’ll collaborate with leaders and employees to cultivate a dynamic and supportive environment where everyone can bring their best selves to work.

Core Responsibilities:

• Culture Captain: Lead our company culture & values, ensuring everyone feels like they’re part of the crew.
• Talent Scout: Navigate the recruitment process to find and hire top talent in the transportation sector.
• Training Guru: Develop and deliver engaging onboarding and training programs that set our team up for success on and off the road.
• Employee Engager: Facilitate and implement employee engagement events and activities that keep our employees engaged and having fun.
• Compliance Commander: Ensure we’re adhering to labour laws and industry standards, keeping our wheels turning smoothly.
• Policy Pioneer: Continuously refine our HR policies to create an exceptional employee experience.

• You’ve got charisma, charm, and can strike up a conversation with just about anyone – even our office plants.
• You can translate legislation and HR lingo into everyday speak and make it sound like a walk in the park.
• You’re a master of making connections and can build bridges where there were none.
• When challenges arise, you embrace them as opportunities and come up with creative solutions for resolution.
• You understand the importance of keeping secrets – like a vault but with more personality.
• You know your way around HR software and Microsoft Office Suite like a pro.
• You’re passionate about our values and you’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and included.

• 3-5 years of making HR magic happen, ideally in a unionized and federally regulated workplace.
• Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other field where you mastered the art of people management.
• Familiar with the latest HR software and tools (Bamboo HR would be an asset).
• Bonus Points for:
• Rocking a professional designation (ex: CPHR).
• Knowing the ins and outs of our industry.
