Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Group Name: Admin Group

Location: Moncton, New Brunswick

Position Overview:

Are you looking to be part of a growing and developing team in an organization that values its people, customers, work, and supply chain? If so, Apex Industries is currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Manager within its Admin Group. This is a full-time, permanent position, reporting to the HR Director. The key areas of responsibility for this role include recruitment, employee relations, recognition and rewards, HR information management, onboarding, and improvement of HR metrics/KPIs supporting a staff of 300.

In addition to remaining current with all applicable laws and regulations, this role requires the individual to adhere to and enforce all established Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment
    Partner with business to reduce vacancies by attracting quality candidates. Follow up and follow through on introducing traditional and non-traditional sourcing channels. Carry out approved activities in relation to recruitment. Properly represent the company at all recruitment events. Report on recruitment and also retention of all employees on a monthly basis.
  2. Employee Relations
    Employ Management by walking around (MBWA) to stay close to day to day issues and concerns with employees. Handle questions and concerns accurately and timely and escalate when appropriate. Support managers in a timely and accurate fashion with their concerns and questions that get escalated to Human Resources.
  3. Recognition & Rewards
    Support the recognition and rewards culture by coordinating activities related to those held in the business and outside locations. Make recommendations on innovative ways to recognize and reward employees.
  4. HR Information Management
    Through use of an HR system, track data and run reports for management, if and when required. Own the system and become the system expert through training, usage, and improvement recommendations. Partner with the supplier of the system to own self-training. Handle confidential information with discretion contained in the system.
  5. Orientation & Onboarding
    Support Managers with orientation and onboarding. Make recommendations to improve process.
  6. Benefits Administration
    Provide input and advice with plan design and renewals. Employee education coordination in regard to benefits.

Qualifications

  1. 5 years' experience in a Human Resources related role (HR operations a definite asset)
  2. Experience with recruitment
  3. University degree or college diploma in a related field
  4. Professional representation
  5. Experience supporting managers
  6. Relationship and Trust builder
  7. Time management
  8. Organizational skills
