Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Manager for Bayshore Specialty Rx will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all HR functions within the Specialty Rx division. This position requires a strategic leader who will oversee a team to administer payroll, benefits, and leave of absences/ WSIB claims while developing and executing recruitment objectives. The HR Manager will be instrumental in fostering a positive employee engagement and morale atmosphere, aligning with company values and policies. Leading by example, this role entails growing and nurturing the HR team to achieve organizational goals and maintain high standards of excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee HR functions including payroll, benefits, and recruitment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• To advise and support the BSRx leadership team to achieve and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory obligations as it pertains to pay and benefits as well as WSIB.
• Collaborate closely with the National Service Centre (NSC) Payroll and Benefits department to ensure timely and accurate processing and administration for all administrative staff in BSRx, providing strategic guidance to HR and Payroll Administrators.
• Ensure timely and effective responses from the BSRx HR, payroll, and Recruitment teams to inquiries received in their respective inboxes.
• Provide leadership in the implementation of talent acquisition strategies, overseeing recruitment efforts to attract and retain top talent aligned with organizational goals.
• Partner with hiring managers and stakeholders to facilitate smooth employment transitions and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
• Offer expert guidance to leaders and employees on the interpretation of Canadian provincial legislation, HR policies, and procedures, fostering compliance and consistency.
• Maintain vigilant oversight of provincial payroll and employment legislation (e.g., pay, terminations, CRA regulations) and Employment Standards Acts to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
• Proactively monitor and enhance employee engagement and organizational culture, promoting a supportive and positive work environment.
• Manage and optimize the time and attendance system, emphasizing employee well-being and work-life balance.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on HR topics, including pay plan management, benefits administration, and effective talent acquisition strategies.
• Serve as the primary contact for employee growth and development plans, aligning individual career paths with organizational objectives.
• Regularly engage with managers and stakeholders to identify best practices and continuous improvement opportunities, driving operational excellence.
• Compile and analyze HR metrics monthly, providing decision support to management through reports on new hires, turnover rates, engagement levels, and compensation trends.
• Safeguard confidentiality of sensitive client and corporate information, ensuring dissemination only to authorized Bayshore personnel.
• Cultivate a workplace culture characterized by collaboration, integrity, and inclusivity, reinforcing company values at every opportunity.
• Stay abreast of evolving provincial legislation pertaining to Employment Standards, Human Rights, Workplace Health and Safety, and Labour laws, facilitating proactive compliance measures.
• Uphold and promote adherence to Bayshore Policies and Procedures, offering clarification and guidance to employees and leadership on policy-related matters.
• Respond to and assist with updates for the PeopleSoft and Procura HRIS systems.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and regulations as mandated by law.
• Communicate regularly with manager to review best practices and ongoing process improvements.
• Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• This role requires the candidate to beon site for the first three months of employment
• After successfully completing the first three months, candidate can work under thehybrid model of 3 days on site and/ or on a as need basis.
Education / Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Possession of or working towards certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is considered an asset.
• Possessing or actively pursuing certification as a Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) is an asset.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong background in recruitment, payroll administration, benefits management.
• Proficient in conflict resolution and adept at handling escalations with diplomacy and efficiency.
• Capable of achieving results as an individual contributor while aligning with broader HR team objectives and achievements.
• Skilled in coaching and advising clients across all organizational levels.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong judgment and adept at independently solving complex problems.
• Skilled in change management, with a proven ability to navigate and implement organizational transitions effectively.
• Adaptable and resilient in dynamic, high-growth and fast paced business environments.
• Proven track record of progressively developing and implementing effective HR strategies.
• Experience in the healthcare sector is considered an asset.
• Demonstrates a strong sense of assertiveness and resilience, maintaining steadfast decision-making and determination.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a strong business acumen as well as deep experience across all dimensions of Human Resources.
