We are presently accepting resumes for a Caregiver Systems Specialist to carry out the day-to-day Site Administrator responsibilities of the supportyourway.ca platform and act as lead for the Simcoe County (Barrie) host-agency. This role involves ensuring the site functions effectively, remains current with relevant content, and meets the evolving needs of caregivers. The Caregiver Systems Specialist position ensures the Family Relief Program remains flexible and responsive to the unpaid caregiver and individual needs. This is a temporary assignment up to March 31, 2026.

Compensation Package:

  • Work up to 22.5 hours per week;
  • Minimum starting rate of pay is $31.02 per hour;
  • 11 paid statutory holidays;

Minimum requirements of this position include:

  • Proven successful completion of a community college diploma in social services, computer science, technology, business administration or an acceptable equivalent diploma/degree program as determined by the employer;
  • Minimum of 2 years recent full-time work experience in a social services environment is required;
  • Strong understanding of web technologies and data management;
  • Advanced computer skills including above average skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, databases and other software programs and knowledge of effective website/platform layout and content is an asset;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of privileged information;
  • Strong experience in developing and managing multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management concepts and approaches;

  • Ability to deal with conflict using tact, patience, and courtesy;
  • Ability to analyze procedural and system problems and make effective recommendations;
  • Valid driver's license and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.

Duties and responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Conducting content updates and facilitating website layout changes;
  • Maintaining site appearance in accordance with supportyourway.ca requirements;
  • Acting as point of contact for host-agencies, providing day-to-day IT support and troubleshooting;
  • Hosting virtual Coordinator Chats and Provincial Network meetings;
  • Collaborating with Information Technology and Digital Solutions to evaluate the site's search engine optimization (SEO) performance to implement SEO strategies;
  • Gathering and presenting site statistical and analytical reports, identifying areas for improvement and offering strategic recommendations;
  • Managing day-to-day functionality of site by working with host-agencies and the technology vendor to resolve platform issues and concerns;
  • Collaborating with developers to execute improvement plans, enhancing site functionality and user experience based on data-driven insights;
  • Establishing and maintaining site design standards and best practices and ensuring the site remains compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, AODA legislation;
  • Work collaboratively with Family Relief Coordinator to facilitate host-agencies roles and responsibilities;
  • Providing oversight and monitoring Memorandums of Understanding with Host-agencies;
  • Providing oversight and monitoring Hosting Service Agreement with supportyourway.ca hosting entity;
  • Maintain the supportyourway.ca modules, as selected by Empower Simcoe;
  • Developing community site content, information, communication, messaging and registration practices;
  • Ensuring all content, information, communication, messaging and registration practices align with applicable ministry and legislative rules, regulations and guidelines;
  • Ensuring privacy structures, policies and guidelines are in place to ensure confidentiality of clients and independent respite providers' personal information;
  • Promoting supportyourway.ca and respiteservices.ca as a community service that works in collaboration with other community agencies;
  • Recruiting respite providers to the site and conducting screening and orientation once registered on the site;
  • Overseeing site data collection and analytics to present findings and recommendations for the development of a continuum of services in the local area;
  • Facilitating comprehensive support and services for unpaid caregivers through the platform, aimed at enhancing their overall well-being and outcomes in their caregiving roles;
  • Working with unpaid caregivers to identify respite and short break needs.
