Tasks

  1. Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  2. Assign projects to subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labour relations and employee relations
  3. Coordinate the activities of the HR department in order to ensure they meet the organization's goals
  4. Direct staff
  5. Motivate staff
  6. Plan and control budget and expenditures
  7. Plan and organize daily operations
  8. Review HR projects to assure compliance with laws and regulations
  9. Train staff
  10. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  11. Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  12. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  13. Manage contracts
  14. Manage training and development strategies
  15. Oversee the analysis of employee data and information
  16. Oversee development of communication strategies
  17. Oversee the preparation of reports
  18. Advise senior management
  19. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  20. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  21. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  22. Oversee payroll administration
  23. Recruit and hire staff
  24. Coaching
  25. Conduct performance reviews
  26. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
