Our client, an Automotive Tier 1 manufacturer, located in LaSalle, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to come on board with their fast-growing manufacturing division and create the kind of change and focus needed to support the Organization’s goals and objectives. This is a FULL-TIME, permanent position working on-site.
Job Responsibilities
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will work with the General Manager and the manufacturing site personnel to drive the human resources strategy and activities to support the strategic growth of the organization. This includes involvement in:
Talent Management:
Help to develop and implement an organization structure aligned with the company’s strategic plan, covering attraction, retention, and development of talent. This is to include:
Working with the business leaders to determine key skill requirements and to develop appropriate recruitment strategies for employees at all levels;
Developing training programs to drive productivity and to meet both current and future needs of the organization;
Supporting the implementation of a comprehensive performance management system, including the annual performance appraisal process, to ensure overall effectiveness of the organizational structure.
Compensation and Benefits:
Oversee the administration of compensation and benefits, including bonus plans, annual compensation increases, payroll and benefits, and managing all related service providers.
Employee Relations:
Drive all employee relations activities alongside the leadership team to ensure appropriate levels of communication and feedback with employees, early identification and resolution of any issues, and general employee engagement.
Qualification and Skill Requirements
Certified CHRP designation will be given preference in consideration.
Experience with the design and implementation of HR policies that take into consideration all relevant employment legislation.
University or College degree in Human Resources.
5-7 years progressive HR Generalist experience is required.
Experience in the manufacturing industry is required (preference will be given to an Automotive manufacturing background and experience).
Sound knowledge and expertise in employment-related legislation and general HR practices.
Superior oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent time management and organizational skills.
