We are hiring a Human Resources Generalist for our law firm client. A true ‘generalist’ role, you’ll touch on all areas of the HR portfolio, with a focus on the day-to-day HR priorities. This is an ideal role for someone looking to elevate their experience. Open to applicants with 5 years of HR Coordinator experience, or 3 years of Generalist level experience.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The HR Generalist is responsible for the day-to-day HR priorities and main point of contact for employees. Responsibilities include:

  1. Program implementation and improvement
  2. Full cycle recruitment
  3. Supporting performance management
  4. Processing vacation and time off requests
  5. Learning and development and events
  6. Participation in budget creation, research, and projections

ABOUT THE POSITION

  1. Recruitment and new hire onboarding
  2. HR administration
  3. Manage time off requests
  4. Support new program development and implementation
  5. Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day employee questions and concerns
  6. Organize and coordinate learning sessions, meetings, and events
  7. Performance management
  8. Employee relations
  9. Annual budget review participation
  10. Support employee engagement events
  11. Ad-hoc projects

THE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Degree or diploma in Human Resources
  2. 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role; or 5 years as an HR Coordinator
  3. Plans to pursue CPHR designation is desired
  4. Strong knowledge of employment standards
  5. Prior experience in the legal or professional services industry is an asset
  6. Prior experience managing day-to-day HR responsibilities
  7. Excellent communication skills
  8. Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  9. Must be able to manage and adjust to changing priorities and competing demands
  10. Accountability, customer focus, and the ability to deliver are requirements

COMPENSATION
Annual salary $70,000 - $80,000. Excellent and very competitive total compensation that includes generous vacation, flexibility, wellness, professional development, and education.
