Human Resources Generalist
Eden Valley Poultry Inc. seeks a Human Resources Generalist to join our People Services team. Reporting to the HR Manager, you are responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing and evaluation of the operations of the Human Resources department. You will support the development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures regarding human resource planning, recruitment, collective bargaining, training and development, and job evaluations. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain detailed records and documentation in accordance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain the human resources information system (HRIS) by entering employee information (e.g., medical documentation, coaching notes, form e’s and progress reports, probationary reports, corrective actions, training records, etc.).
- Purchase and distribute gift cards for EVP Great together winners and overtime.
- Order corporate clothing and distribute.
- Assist in maintaining a strong filing system throughout the year to ensure smooth year-end processes.
- Track Fitness subsidy program receipts and request employee payments.
- Perform related clerical duties, such as word processing, maintaining filing and record systems, faxing, and photocopying.
- Service Awards (maintain list and prepare packages annually).
- Assist in ensuring compliance for AIP/LMIA.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Assist in vacation coverage within the People Services department.
- Backup with preparing new employee orientation packages.
- Backup with coordinating benefit processing (e.g., handle enrollments RBC and Maple, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability applications, accident and death claims, etc.).

- Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Administration is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years working experience required.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information tactfully, diplomatically, confidentially, and professionally.
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn new software applications.
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide beneficial recommendations to resolve human resources-related issues related to regulations, laws, policies, and procedures.
- Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Attention to detail, good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills.
