Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Generalist will be responsible for executing a variety of HR tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring legal compliance. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for building positive workplace environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Maintain and update employee records.
  • Facilitate employee relations by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
  • Administer payroll processes using to ensure accurate and timely compensation.
  • Support performance management processes including evaluations and feedback sessions.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement HR policies that align with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR policies, compliance issues, and employee development programs.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all HR practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned including HR projects, support to accreditation requirements, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • At least one year of practical Human Resources experience.
  • Previous experience processing payroll with a third-party provider. (ADP an asset).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and conflict resolution.
  • Familiarity with HR sourcing techniques and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
