YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the HR General Supervisor, you will be part of the Human Resources Department. You will provide professional, tactical and hands-on operational support to enable the Company to manage, develop and retain employees. You will be a ‘guardian’ of HR practices and organization culture. You will be accountable for providing high quality human resources operational services to partner with department supervisors and employees to strengthen, foster organizational effectiveness, and meet business objectives. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Establish and maintain collaborative, credible, trusting partnerships with employees and supervisors across the department(s) and organization, to demonstrate the value of HR as a consistent, knowledgeable and trusted business partner;
- Handle performance and productivity issues of complex or sensitive nature, and work with supervisors to remove obstacles, own timely outcomes and drive resolution;
- Provide proactive HR supports to departments on the application of policies, procedures and relevant employment legislation. Ensure site practices are in line with established company policies;
- Assist in process improvement and streamlining HR practices to expedite results;
- Support and own end-to-end hourly recruitment, and timely onboarding;
- Provide support to employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits as required;
- Work closely with the HR leadership and department supervisors/leaders on development and performance related matters for employees;
- Responsible for completion of the workplace investigations in an effective and timely manner;
- Escalating any discipline recommendations to HR General Supervisor and HR Superintendent;
- Ensures proper documentation is collected and recorded;
- Demonstrate understanding and application of Employment Standards Act and Ontario Labour Relations Act;
- Support training and development opportunities for all employees consistent with regional Talent Management team;
- Participate in annual HR cycles, special projects as required and corporate HR initiatives;
- Support accurate monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly reporting and recording requirements;
- Be aware of Audit compliance with HR systems, policies and procedures and make improvement recommendations with change management awareness, where necessary;
- Other duties as directed from time to time.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Degree or Diploma in HR Management, Business Administration or related discipline;
- Certified Human Resources Professional designation is an asset;
- 3+ years of related experience in an industrial or mining environment, with experience in employee relations, workplace investigation, organization culture, disability management and recruitment is an asset;
- Relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
- Excellent working knowledge with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint) and ERP (SAP) software;
- Proven commitment to health, safety and the environment;
- High level of proactiveness, customer service focus, integrity, accountability, risk awareness, SOX compliance and strong emotional intelligence;
- Demonstrated ability to influence business supervisors in multiple areas of human resources;
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation and listening skills;
- Experience in a cross-cultural working environment;
Your Work Schedule:
- Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days off at our Macassa Mine in Kirkland Lake, ON.
