Summary of Function:
The Human Resource (HR) Coordinator supports the HR team in delivering general human resources services. This position plays a key role in coordinating day-to-day HR operations, managing employee information, supporting recruitment efforts, handling inquiries, and assisting in the implementation of HR policies and programs.
Job Duties:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company policies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits, leave policies, and compensation.
- Support the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in developing and distributing internal communication materials to promote awareness of HR policies and programs.
- Assist in preparing HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Track and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, attendance, and training completion rates.
- Other related duties pertaining to the position.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Canadian Indigenous Human Resource Professional designation would be an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in HR or a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of Canadian labor laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- French is considered an asset.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
