Support the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures, offering guidance and clarification for business operations.
Aid in the recruitment process by reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, and conducting reference checks.
Oversee administrative tasks related to onboarding and new-hire orientation, including setup in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Coordinate exit procedures for employees, including managing transitions for students participating in multiple work terms during the CPA Professional Education Program.
Maintain employee personnel files using the Bamboo HR platform.
Assist in managing performance evaluations through the Bamboo HR platform.
Generate and submit required reports for business partners.
Apply knowledge of employment standards to ensure compliance.
Gain exposure to payroll processes.
Prepare reports for governing bodies regarding students in the CPA process.
Coordinate professional development events, including registrations and travel arrangements.
Assist in organizing employee recognition programs.
Support special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Post secondary degree in human resources or related (essential)
2 – 3 years of experience as an HR coordinator
Full understanding of HR functions and best practices
Experience with Bamboo HR Platform preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with various software programs including Microsoft Office Suite
HR Designation is considered an asset
Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset
