Under the supervision of the President, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for establishing a strategic human resources vision in accordance with the strategic planning, the organizational goals, and the operational needs. This person is also responsible for implementing this vision on a daily basis.
Responsibilities:
Coach and counsel managers and employees in person by providing assistance with employee relations issues and labour law questions;
Maintain innovative and creative HR policies, procedures or programs;
Implement initiatives and projects to maintain the organizational culture on a daily basis;
Carry out human resources management planning and manage all recruitment processes, employee integration programs, and employee performance management programs;
Recruit for certain positions, in collaboration with managers (posting, sorting applications, interviews, making offers, etc.);
Maintain a unique, inspiring employer brand;
Continuously monitor the overall compensation landscape within the retail sector to ensure the provision of a competitive and attractive total compensation package;
Create and keep up to date training programs aligned with the strategic planning and training needs;
Manage CNESST claims and pricing decisions in collaboration with the prevention mutual;
Maintain a preventive management of occupational health, safety and wellness;
Review bi-weekly payroll data to verify employee hours in coordination with the accounting team.
Qualifications
Minimum of a college degree in human resources or industrial relations;
Two to four years of relevant experience in administration, human resources;
CRHA or CRIA certification (an asset);
Experience in a retail company (an asset);
Developed sense of judgement and autonomy;
Bilingualism, oral and written;
Communication skills.
