Job Description: Human Resources Coordinator (Contract)
Our client in the medical devices industry is currently searching for a Human Resources Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis in Mississauga. The contract will end September 2025.
Responsibilities:
Provide HR support to employees and managers, responding to inquiries regarding human resources policies, procedures, programs, general employee relations, and redirecting as needed to appropriate team members.
Assist with HR related inquiries or requests including drafting memos, disciplinary letters and offers of employment.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of HR reports and metrics for management review as required.
Support the HR team in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees.
Conduct benefits overview and any other onboarding activities.
Administration of leaves including short-term disability, long term disability and WSIB.
Responsible for the administration and compliance of mandatory training.
Responsible for the full cycle recruitment process through activities such as job postings, resume screening, assessment administration, candidate pre-screening and offer presentation.
Coordinate interview schedules, liaising with hiring managers and candidates.
Conducts the criminal background and reference check process for selected candidates.
Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, HR Management, or related field, CHRP (or working towards) is an asset.
Understanding of relevant legislation, such as Employment Standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, AODA, and Ontario Human Rights Code.
Strong working knowledge with MS Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
A team player who has the ability to multi-task and is self-directed.
Ability to maintain composure when faced with managing multiple conflicting priorities for multiple stakeholders.
High level of professionalism and ability to deal effectively with all levels within the organization as well as external contacts.
Ability to work in a highly organized manner where attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
