Human Resources Coordinator

Location: Hybrid in Kingston or Toronto (York Mills)
Empire life is looking to hire a Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team as a part of our Human Resources Rotational Program!

Over 24-36 months you will gain hands-on, well-rounded, and meaningful experience by cycling through various HR functions. Each 6-month rotation will provide you the opportunity to work on impactful projects, develop leadership skills, and acquire a specialized HR skill set. Rotations are based on interests and impact to ensure you are prepared for future success. Areas of focus include Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Organizational Development, Compensation, and Wellness & Inclusion.

What you’ll be working on
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders in the development, implementation, and administration of Human Resources programs, initiatives, and services.
  • Support initiatives by conducting research, due-diligence, and analyzing trends and data.
  • Help prepare and distribute documentation regarding existing and new HR processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with teams, key stakeholders and partners, internally and externally.
  • Participate in professional development and networking opportunities to increase knowledge and understanding of key HR trends and tools.

  • You're ready to turn your education into employment. You’re currently pursuing your post-secondary education in a relevant field and have demonstrated academic excellence.

  • You have applicable experience demonstrated through completed course-work, project experience, co-op’s/internships, extra-curricular involvement and your own favorite hobbies.
  • You're a go-getter. You bring innovative ideas to all areas of your life, and like to challenge yourself by bringing new ideas to life.
  • You are an active listener, excellent communicator and are able to learn quickly and pivot to new ideas when necessary.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset.
