TWD is currently looking for a permanent Human Resources Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Human Resources. This position is based in Burlington, ON.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for all general HR inquiries ensuring a strong customer service focus.
- Assist in processing bi-weekly Canada and US payroll using ADP for TWD and its subsidiaries.
- Administer employee benefits programs including group benefits plan, RRSP and 401K programs, employee referral bonus program, wellness subsidy program and service awards program.
- Onboard new hires.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date staff records both hard copy and digital in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Maintain HR documentation and staff public records on the company intranet.
- Produce and submit a variety of HR reports and employee documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews and assist with processing separation documentation and offboarding.
- Assist staff with the interpretation of human resources policies, compensation and benefit programs and employment agreements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment and occupational health and safety legislation.
- Assist the HR Business Partner and Director of HR with Special Projects.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in a related field.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) is an asset but not required.
- 3+ years of related experience in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of and exposure to a range of human resources activities, including recruitment, orientation, compensation and benefits, performance management, employee relations, and employee communications.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the use of applicant tracking systems (ADP familiarity is an asset).
- Exposure to processing payroll in both Canada and the US is an asset.
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Demonstrated time management skills.
- High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to handle sensitive or private information with tact and discretion.
- Payroll experience (ADP preferred).
