Job Summary:
This position provides leadership and support in the areas of HR analytics, reporting, data integrity, and workflow design for initiatives impacting Human Resources as well as other stakeholders throughout NLHS. Understanding the operations within each HR department, the Human Resources Consultant will support, develop, and implement solutions to promote efficiency of operations and achievement of strategic and program priorities. This position is also responsible for ensuring data integrity, as well as identifying and implementing data quality improvement initiatives.
Reporting to the Manager, HR Solutions and Analytics, the Human Resources Consultant will play a critical role in providing information for our Human Resources Departments, executive team, management group, and provincial government to facilitate better strategic decisions. The successful candidate will develop and track indicators and metrics and will be responsible for expert presentation of information through reports, presentations, and compelling dashboards/scorecards. The Human Resources Consultant is also responsible for satisfying ad hoc requests for information from Senior Executive and Government.
This position will also support the Human Resources Consultant responsible for HR Technology by managing projects as required, assisting with change management, and identifying opportunities for leveraging technology to improve efficiency and processes.
Job Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, mathematics/statistics, human resources, or related discipline. Master's Degree in the discipline area is preferred. Certification in project management and/or change management would be preferred.
Experience:
Three (3) years' experience within the last five (5) years in Analytics and/or Human Resources. Experience using a variety of business software and HRIS applications to extract data and produce analytics including advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; and business intelligence tools, particularly Cognos. Experience with development and presentation of metrics and scorecards. Experience in change and project management.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research and analytics in HR strategic reporting. Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze information and to evaluate the implication of a course of action or strategy. Demonstrated computer aptitude. Demonstrated strong project management and leadership skills including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and recommend process improvements. Ability to identify data flaws, trends in analytical data, draw conclusions as to the impact or anomalies.
