Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The HRBP contributes to achieving the RCL’s objectives by providing counsel to various levels of management, leading and executing HR initiatives, providing training on various RCL programs, and managing employee case files as they arise in following legal and corporate policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide insight, guidance, and coaching on HR issues, ensuring compliance with policies, Employment Standards, and other regulatory employment and human rights requirements.
- Provide counsel to management on employee relations issues and act as a trusted advisor.
- Assist management in the interview process and onboarding of new supervisors, managers, and directors.
- Actively participate in projects and help create programs that will impact client groups and/or RCL at large.
- Facilitate training sessions for company programs in both French and English.
- Accompany management through annual performance management programs including annual increases.
- Assist in talent management and succession planning conversations and aid in the identification of employees’ potential for future job moves.
- Participate in the various H&S committees in partnership with HR corporate Health & Wellness.
- Prepare employee disciplinary measures documentation including corrective action plans.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Degree in HR management, industrial relations or similar disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Human Resources Generalist.
- CHRP designation is an asset.
- Bilingual (written and verbal).
- At ease with all Office software as well as PeopleSoft.
- Ability to influence relationships and trust building.
- Ease at multi-tasking.
- Enjoy being part of a team that may be both remote and collocated.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands current HR issues and future HR trends.
- Curious and comfortable with change.
