Job description

Our client in the banking industry is looking for a HR Business Partner. This is a full-time permanent role that is hybrid (3 days a week in office).

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while providing comprehensive support in payroll, talent management, and HR operations. This role also includes payroll oversight, ensuring accurate processing, compliance, and coordination with finance teams. The HRBP plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting leadership, and driving HR best practices.

This role provides 3 weeks vacation, 100% employer paid benefits, 12 sick days, RRSP contribution, and a bonus structure.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly payroll in ADP WFN, ensuring compliance with payroll policies, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Clearly communicate payroll policies and procedures to relevant stakeholders as needed.
  • Identify and escalate any discrepancies, anomalies, or issues in payroll data, calculations, and processes to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage internal and external job postings.
  • Collaborate with business partners and external recruiters to support hiring needs and secure top talent.
  • Collect and review new hire onboarding documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness, with follow-ups as necessary.
  • Generate and compile HRIS reports, dashboards, and data analytics as required by business and compliance teams.
  • Contribute to the development of HR documentation, including desktop procedures and system guidelines.
  • Provide timely and accurate resolutions to internal inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and system-related questions.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Post Secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (ADP Workforce, Kronos HR System).
  • Strong MS office skills including Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
