You are a strategic and business-savvy senior Human Resources leader, with the ability to execute at both the tactical and strategic levels. Working with our Director, HR Corporate, you will share responsibility for aligning HR and business objectives for employees and management across Corporate Functions in North America and support clients in Sales, Logistics, IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and Corporate Relations.

This role will support our corporate office employees, by partnering with the Business Leaders and the HR team to execute against our Talent Management strategy. You will work with our HR Director to drive the HR cycles from start to finish, including talent assessment, calibration, career development and succession planning. In addition, you will also support key company-wide HR projects including employee recognition program reviews and engagements and exit surveys.

A day in the life of the HR Business Partner includes:

  • Provide HR business partner support to all departments within the corporate groups in our Vancouver, Prince George and our US Corporate offices.
  • Provide consultation and advice to internal clients in the administration of company policies, employee relations and human resources management.
  • Oversee the connection between internal clients and in-house recruitment team, selection and onboarding procedures for new hires.
  • Prepare for and/or participate in formal meetings as required, including management meetings, board and executive meetings, Health and Safety Committee meetings, Employee Experience Team meetings and project meetings.
  • Lead the development and implementation of company-wide processes and tools for Performance, Talent, and Succession Management.
  • Acts as the ambassador of talent and focuses efforts on the creation of opportunities to expedite the capabilities and growth of the company’s most important asset: our people.
  • Support in the training and development of our employee groups. Acting as an advocate for our corporate groups and individual employees in supporting their needs.
  • Work directly with the team in Vancouver, Prince George and US Offices, providing best in class employee relations and employee experience.
  • Acts as main point of contact on talent-related priorities, issues and/or processes including performance management, employee relations, succession planning, retention, and talent development.
  • Collaborate closely with HR leaders to integrate the Learning and Talent functions into HR.

For this role come equipped with:

  • A CPHR designation and/or SHRM designation is strongly preferred.
  • A post-secondary diploma/degree in human resources or labour management.
  • 5+ years experience as HR Business Partner and/or delivering HR and employee experience projects and change management initiatives.
  • A demonstrated understanding of client service.
  • Experience using an HRIS, specifically SAP Success Factors is an asset.

The salary range for this position is: $108,000.00-$135,000.00
