The Role

In this role as a Human Resources Business Partner, you will be supporting leaders through a hyper growth phase at Neo Financial. We are looking for someone who loves building and implementing processes and systems to help us operate more efficiently as an organization. You can expect to work on initiatives such as workforce management, building a strong culture and employee engagement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build strategic partnerships with leaders by developing a deep knowledge and understanding of their business drivers, challenges and needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and the broader People team to design and implement data-driven, high-impact people initiatives that align with organizational priorities.
  • Develop and execute action plans to enhance talent health, deploy tailored employee engagement strategies, and foster a thriving workplace culture.
  • Partner with business leaders to evolve organizational structures and talent strategies for short and long term scalability.
  • Develop workforce optimization strategies and plans with leadership teams that align to business outcomes and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to develop their workforce planning forecasts to optimize for the growing areas of their business.
  • Identify solutions that drive a high performance culture and use your influencing skills to get buy-in from stakeholders.
  • Cultivate positive, trust-based working relationships across the business at all levels and model Neo’s high performance culture.
  • Provide leadership coaching and development opportunities to empower leaders to enhance their skills and drive organizational success.

Who we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience in strategic HR position, consulting and/or business advisory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field.
  • You have strong diagnostic skills followed by the ability to evaluate alternatives and to develop recommendations for solutions to complex and multi-dimensional challenges.
  • You bring strong project management skills and effective execution skills to ensure successful delivery of high impact initiatives, processes, and policies.
  • You are open, approachable and an excellent listener with a proven ability to build trust and influence leaders and teams.
  • You demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and resiliency in day-to-day work: particularly in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift rapidly.

Working at Neo:

The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth-oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we’re on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to do our best work for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building intuitive products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading.

We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and continuous support. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. As we evolve rapidly, we’re looking for change-makers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well-paved path.

All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company’s success.
