As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide comprehensive and trusted support, guidance, and consultation to leaders and employees at both of our Clubs as a central member of our People & Culture team. You are a curious, empathetic, and driven high performer who delivers value across all aspects of the employee life cycle through creating meaningful partnerships and influential relationships that elevate capabilities, focusing on solutions and outcomes. Responsibilities:
- Provide appropriate, timely, and comprehensive HR advice, counsel, guidance, and recommendations based on best practice, incorporating approaches and processes that proactively address current and evolving HR needs while augmenting and supporting business outcomes.
- Build, develop, and maintain effective partnerships with leadership and employees based on trust and integrity that enable the proactive identification and implementation of human resources best practices across various lines of business.
- Act as a leader and strategic partner, fostering a consultative approach that promotes, advocates, and supports the employee experience while amplifying and advancing all phases of the employee life cycle.
- Establish, build, maintain and continuously enhance policies, practices, and initiatives in alignment with Alberta Human Rights Act, Employment Standards, and other applicable legislation, supporting their application through the delivery of end-to-end HR programs.
- Foster and enable continuous improvement through integrating HR solutions that add incredible value, elevate and enhance practices, and support our organization’s greatest resource.
- Champion, promote, and educate others to develop expertise in human resources practices and acumen, contributing to a high performance, people focused organization.
- Support informed, business driven decisions and recommendations through leveraging people analytics, trends, metrics, and data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Human Resources with a demonstrated track record of comprehensive HR support coupled with a focus in consultation, advice, guidance, and recommendations at all levels.
- Demonstrated experience proactively partnering with and supporting front line management and organizational leadership to effectively address, troubleshoot, and resolve issues or concerns.
- Experience with and application of conflict resolution, change management, organizational effectiveness, and learning & development.
- An exceptional communicator, with the ability to influence outcomes through effective relationships, integrity, discretion, and judgement.
- Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge across all areas of human resources, inclusive of the employee lifecycle.
- CPHR designation is considered an asset.

Additional Details:
This is a full-time salaried position that reports to the Director of People & Culture. The successful candidate will require reliable transportation between both clubs and may be required to work a variety of shifts on occasion including weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays based on the nature of the business.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a background check as well as Respect in the Workplace and Respect in Sport online certifications prior to commencing employment.
