About the job:
Responsible for supporting the end-to-end management of HR operation and employee relations matters, and the application of HR policies and collective agreements.
Assist in resolving workplace conflicts by conducting initial inquiries, documenting issues, and escalating cases to HR management when necessary. Provide guidance to employees on company policies, fostering a positive and compliant work environment.
Maintain accurate employee relations records, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and mediation outcomes. Support HR initiatives by preparing reports, tracking trends, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and company procedures.
Work closely with managers and HR Lead to provide guidance, ensure policy consistency, and help maintain a fair, compliant, and respectful work environment.
The successful candidate will handle sensitive issues with discretion and contribute to a culture of accountability and transparency.
Compensation: The target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from $48,000 to $94,000 depending on education, experience, and demonstrated expertise.
Job requirements: About the ideal candidate:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Minimum of 3–5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations.
Exposure to collective agreement interpretation and support of HR case documentation is an asset.
Solid understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and collective agreement administration.
Familiarity with best practices in conflict resolution, investigation procedures, and case documentation.
