Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Support the recruitment process, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure alignment on candidate requirements and facilitate a smooth recruitment experience.
Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Assist in promoting an inclusive workplace culture and help to address basic employee relations issues.
- Support staff engagement initiatives to improve morale and productivity.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees with HR-related inquiries.
Training and Development:
- Organize training sessions to enhance employees’ skills and support their career growth.
- Assist HR Manager in workforce planning by providing administrative support.
HR Administration and Reporting:
- Maintain employee records in the HR Information System (HRIS) and be responsible for HR report generation.
- Provide administrative support for payroll processes and compliance tasks.
- Assist in tracking HR activities and executing any HR workforce plan.
Event Coordination:
- Coordinate company events to foster employee engagement and strengthen team dynamics.
Policy and Compliance:
- Assist in communicating HR policies and procedures to employees.
- Support compliance initiatives by monitoring updates and assisting with employee training on relevant changes.
Ad-hoc Support:
- Provide administrative support for various HR projects and assignments as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Possession of an HR Certificate or experience in the retail industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel (knowledge of VBA is an asset).
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, or Japanese) is an advantage.
