Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will be responsible for providing operational human resources support in occupational health and safety and staffing and may provide advice related to classification, labour relations, learning, disability management, or human resource planning.
We are also looking for someone who has the drive and ability to work both independently and in collaboration with their other members of Parks Canada’s team. This includes working with different departments within the Yukon Field Unit, as well as across other field units and national office. This role requires someone with the ability to distill complex and complicated information and processes into simple and practical terms for client groups and stakeholders. Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to lead through influence are important to succeeding in this role.

EDUCATION
Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education, social sciences, sociology or other field related to the duties of the position;
OR
Certified Human Resources Professional Certificate;
OR
Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable experience in human resources;
OR
Acceptable combination of education, training and experience comparable to a diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization related to the duties of the position; may be used to meet the minimum education standard.
Grandfather clause:
Incumbents of an indeterminate or term position in the PE group with the Parks Canada Agency or the public service as of October 3, 2008 or earlier who do not have the above-mentioned level of education are deemed to meet the minimum education standard by reason of their education, training or experience.
