Job Posting: Human Resources Administrator, Saint John, NB

Commissionaires NBPEI are currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Human Resources Administrator to work in our head office in Saint John, NB.

Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, the Human Resources Administrator is responsible for key duties aligned around:

  1. Total Compensation & Benefits
    1. Benefit enrollment and ongoing administration
    2. Total Compensation management for all employee levels
  2. HR Technology and HR Data Administration
    1. HRIS administration, data hygiene and management
    2. HR Dashboard management and related reporting
  3. Employee Administration
    1. Support employee onboarding, manage employee lifecycle and provide ongoing assistance to employees
    2. Lead the employee security process and manage all levels of clearances

Hours: Regular business hours, Monday to Friday, with some exceptions depending on work assignments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Possess an understanding of HR design and administrative processes
  2. Knowledge of HR compliance, employment standards, and provincial human rights acts
  3. Knowledge of HRIS (experience with Criterion considered an asset) and ability to act as SME of HRIS in support of all employee groups
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to observe, analyze, and comprehend even the most minute aspects of a task
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  6. The ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members as well as internal and external stakeholders

Education and Professional Requirements:

  1. Three (3) plus years of HR experience
  2. Post-secondary education with a major in Human Resources or related field preferred
  3. Proficiency in using HR software and tools and experience with HR dashboards and metrics
  4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  5. Must meet requirements to obtain a Government of Canada Level II (Secret level) and RCMP enhanced security clearances
