Job Role/Summary: Has responsibility for labor relations, contract administration, employee performance and development, recruiting, EHS, and the Company’s compliance with applicable labor and employment law. Directs and coordinates human resources activities in these areas by performing duties personally or through subordinates. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Provides professional and confidential assistance to other functional groups on human resource related issues
Coordinates, monitors and enforces diversity initiatives and a harassment-free workplace.
Responsibility for employee communications, particularly in regard to policy and benefits issues, for accuracy and for effective presentation
Manages both the training for manufacturing and environmental, safety and health roles.
Coordinates interface with other internal systems, such as payroll, to ensure the accuracy of records pertinent to benefits and policy; e.g., time and attendance, vacation, FMLA eligibility and use, 401(k), medical, dental, and disability benefits, and etc.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Recruits, interviews, tests, evaluates and helps the hiring manager select among candidates for vacant positions.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs and provides professional advice accordingly.
Assists with budget of human resources operations.
Writes directives advising department managers of company policy and benefits
Ensures compliance with company policies and labor contract.
Represents management in labor contract negotiations or serves as resource to negotiators by providing information on provisions of current contract and significance of proposed changes.
Records grievances filed and ensures company compliance with contractual grievance process.
Required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by manager.
Maintains database for all employee identification badges and helps oversee security system.

Education, Experience, Training, Certifications and Licenses:Degree or equivalent experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
Years of experience:
Two or more years’ experience in an HR related position, preferred.
Training in:
As required.
Licenses in:
As required.
Certifications in:
SHRM certification preferred.
Other requirements:
Must successfully pass any pre-screening test(s).

Knowledge of principles and procedures for recruitment, selection, training, , labor relations and negotiation, and HRIS.
