Job Description

Our client is a market leader in the manufacturing of roofing and building materials. The HSE Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety programs. This role provides technical and professional support services to operations and reports directly to the local Plant Manager and functionally to the Director of Health, Safety, and Environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve Health & Safety programs.
• Provide technical and professional support services to operations.
• Report directly to the local Plant Manager and functionally to the Director of Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Lead and manage Health & Safety initiatives in construction, manufacturing, or mining plants.
• Travel between BC, AB, and US plants (roughly 20-40%).

Essential Skills

• Health & Safety management
• Hazardous waste management
• Experience in construction
• CPR certification

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience preferred
• Experience in manufacturing is highly desirable
• Certifications in relevant Health & Safety fields

Work Environment

The role is based at the Burlington shingle site, with travel required to AB, BC, and three US sites. The work environment includes manufacturing facilities where you will need to adhere to safety protocols and standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $55.29/hr.
