The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety seeks a dynamic leader for the Director of Financial and Resource Management within the Central Services Branch, part of the Corporate Services Division. This key position requires a strong financial background to identify, analyze, and recommend strategies that optimize financial resources and address operational challenges.
You will play a crucial role in advising Executive Management on financial forecasting, supplementary funding, and appropriation controls. Responsibilities include:
Additionally, this role involves leading the development of financial policies and procedures across divisions within the Ministry. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing financial and audit policies that comply with standards set by the Provincial Comptroller, Provincial Auditor, Financial Administration Act, and program goals. Your role will also include providing guidance to staff on financial administration protocols to ensure adherence and safeguard public assets effectively.
