About the Company:
We are seeking a highly motivated HR Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our client’s team. This dual-role position combines strategic talent acquisition with HR generalist responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead efforts in full-cycle recruitment, talent retention, and HR operations while spearheading on-campus recruitment initiatives to attract top-tier talent.
This individual will work on roles below the VP level, covering a wide range of positions, from administrative to senior technical roles in underwriting, claims, risk management, business solutions, and more. A background in insurance or financial services is preferred.
This is a hybrid position, requiring two days in the office per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition
- Lead on-campus recruitment initiatives to build a pipeline of emerging talent.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, interviewing, negotiating offers, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and develop job descriptions.
- Build relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and other talent acquisition partners.
- Develop KPIs for talent acquisition, such as cost per hire, time to fill, and candidate quality metrics.
- Create and maintain a talent pool for future hiring needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage talent retention programs to ensure long-term employee engagement.
- Maintain HR documentation, policies, and procedures in compliance with employment laws and organizational standards.
- Act as a resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Support performance management initiatives and employee engagement strategies.
- Collaborate with internal HR teams and business leaders to align HR practices with organizational goals.
Skills, Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience, with a strong preference for experience in insurance or financial services organizations.
- Certifications: HR designation (CHRM, CHRP, etc.) complete or in progress.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
