Hours of Work: 7.5 hours per day - 5 day week (M-F)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid 8

Salary Range: $36.30 - $51.33 Hourly

Position Highlights

ICBC is seeking an HR Partner to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Associate Director, HR Business Partnering, you will work closely with the Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners - as well as collaborate with the broader HR division - to provide support and deliver on the people related strategies, projects and initiatives which will enable leaders to attract, develop, support and retain talent at ICBC.

This role is a succession role for the HR Business Partner role at ICBC. Successful delivery on the key accountabilities below will provide you with the broad range of exposure and experience necessary to be successful in the HR Business Partner role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate, deliver and present on various HR programs such as placements, attendance management, employee wellness, probationary and performance management, etc.
  • Create and update relevant materials used by the HR business partnering team
  • Support the delivery of project plans for various HR initiatives and projects such as workforce planning and insights, organizational design, etc.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices to inform people trends, strategies, and tactics
  • Analyze data, identify, track and report key success factors
  • Track and review accommodation requests and determine suitable vacancies for requests received, liaising with Talent Acquisition, DM Specialists, HR Service Centre & HRBP team to explore potential options from existing open positions, or positions in pipeline
  • Coordinate internal placement efforts with hiring for open positions, liaising with Talent Acquisition team to convey placement status and whether to continue/ halt placement for the role
  • Initiate employee onboarding process into the role by sharing briefing email with leaving and receiving manager and assessing placement experience and fit post-placement

Position Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources in a generalist, coordinator or operational role
  • Experience in HR value chain and HR best practices: talent management, career management, succession planning, workforce planning, performance management, remuneration and rewards, organizational effectiveness, and employee and labour relations
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders
  • The ability to conduct research, collect and use high quality data and analytics across HR value chain matters to support with diagnosing people issues
  • A Degree or Diploma in human resource management or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a CHPR or other relevant designation, is an asset

Employing a hybrid working model, this role combines on-site in office work with work from home flexibility.

  • Hybrid 8 - you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
