What you will be doing:
-Recruitment and Talent Management
- Lead recruitment efforts, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and develop comprehensive job descriptions.
-Employee Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
-International Hiring and Relocation
- Manage relocation and visa processes for international hires from Pakistan and India.
- Facilitate smooth relocation processes, including housing, bank accounts, and local registration.
- Handle all immigration and visa-related matters for employees.
-Performance and Compliance Management
- Manage employee performance appraisals and address complaints as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws and regulations.
-Office Management
- Oversee the Calgary office at Regus, ensuring all facilities are functioning effectively.
- Plan and execute the transition to a permanent office space in coordination with global office management.
- Handle daily office operations, including procurement of office supplies and equipment.
-Vendor and Financial Management
- Oversee vendor agreements, invoices, and renewals.
- Manage bookkeeping, including petty cash and expense reporting for employees.
-IT and Equipment Management
- Oversee procurement and management of IT equipment, including distribution for new hires and returns from offboarding employees.
- Ensure maintenance of office equipment and assist with IT-related needs.
-Event Coordination
- Organize events and exhibitions in support of the sales and marketing department.
-Point of Contact
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Calgary office, managing communications via phone and email.
Skills / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HR and office management roles.
- Strong recruitment and talent management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and immigration processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
- Experience in IT equipment management.
- Proficient project management skills, particularly for office relocation.
- Experience managing visa and relocation processes for international employees.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR software tools.
- Prior experience in office setup and relocation is a plus.
