The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced HR Lead to support our clinic teams and head office functions with a total headcount of 75 employees over two sites – with only a short walk between them. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the employee journey, everything from attracting the best talent in the industry, to developing initiatives to keep everyone engaged and working at their best in a professional and enjoyable work environment.
The HR Lead will be the first point of contact for managers and employees, dealing with a range of HR related issues helping to ensure everyone is made to feel valued and able to perform at their best. Responsible for all HR administration utilising the newly integrated Personio ATS and HR system, you will maintain accurate data records and prepare KPI reports to help inform HR business decisions. Leading and driving current engagement initiatives and also developing new ideas to keep things interesting will be a key element of the role.
What can a typical day include?

  • Working with the ATS to improve the quality, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the on-boarding process, monitoring response rates to adverts and assessing the calibre of applicants, including screening and interviewing.
  • Ensuring all employees have regular feedback, including probation reviews, 121’s and annual appraisals and these are recorded on file for future reference.
  • Participation in the Induction training program and delivering this, and other coaching sessions as required.
  • Develop employee opinion surveys and identify initiatives which respond to the feedback provided including a communication schedule to inform the business of progress on each initiative undertaken.
  • Preparing regular communications including monthly newsletters, team meetings with learning sessions.
  • Utilising the HR system to monitor absence levels and holiday management and support Line Managers with the management of these issues.
  • Assisting in defining organisation/department structures, roles, responsibilities and decision-making frameworks to deliver high performing functions.
  • Developing and communicating new and amended company policies, ensuring they help create a diverse and representative workforce.

More technical stuff:

- ideally achieved Level 5 CIPD or lots of relevant experience.
- knowledge of employment law and its ‘good practice’ application
- experience of providing ‘generalist’ HR advice to line managers
