Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources and Health and Safety Administrator to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the HR department in various administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture.

Duties

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, reviewing applications, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting initial training sessions.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Facilitate training development initiatives by collaborating with department heads to identify training needs and create relevant programs.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation of HR projects and programs aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Filling out WSIB Form 7's
  • Environmental support management
  • Data management

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to fabricate innovative solutions to enhance HR processes.
  • Experience in training development is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to employee growth and development.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
