Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated HR Generalist with an interest in data analytics, HR Information Systems (HRIS), and compensation management. While the primary focus will be on data-driven HR functions, you will also gain exposure to a variety of HR areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, labour relations, talent management, and more.

In this role, you will work closely with the HR team to support a range of HR initiatives, leveraging your analytical skills and interest in technology to drive process improvements, enhance HR systems, and support key HR projects.

Onsite location: Gatineau, Quebec office

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support various HR programs including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Compensation Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Labour Relations;
  • Support with processes throughout the employee life cycle from onboarding to offboarding;
  • Assist in HRIS data management, reporting, and system improvements;
  • Support recruitment, as needed, including analyzing workforce needs, identifying sourcing strategies, screening and interviewing;
  • Prepare employee letters, HR communications, training and development materials, intranet content, organizational charts, etc;
  • Support the Annual Performance and Compensation Management processes;

  • Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and can handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Are able to travel within Canada from time to time, as required by the business.

Requirements:

  • A University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or in a related field;
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience;
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using HRIS platforms;
  • Experience working in excel, consolidating, simplifying and communicating large amounts of data;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Exposure to employee relations, labour relations, talent management, or talent acquisition is an asset.
