Partners Community Health (PCH) is a new not-for-profit organization, focused on bringing healthcare services together around the needs of people living in Mississauga and West Toronto. PCH currently operates Wellbrook Place East and West, a combined 632-beds Long Term Care Home and part of PCH’s larger strategy that will introduce innovative and inclusive programs and services and new models of care delivery. Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist for a one-year contract position to support a wide range of human resources activities. The HR Generalist will play a key role in the daily HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of human resources functions and will be able to provide effective HR solutions to employees and managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  2. Provide support in employee relations issues, offering guidance to both employees and management on policies and procedures.
  3. Administer and support the performance management process, including tracking performance reviews and assisting managers with employee evaluations.
  4. Handle HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing HR reports, and updating HR policies.
  5. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local employment legislation.
  6. Assist in managing employee benefits, including enrollment, renewals, and addressing employee inquiries.
  7. Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, retention, and development.
  8. Manage leave administration, including vacation, sick leave, and parental leave, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance.
  9. Participate in HR projects, such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, policy reviews, and organizational development activities.
  10. Address and resolve employee concerns in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role or similar position.
  3. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  4. Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
  5. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  7. Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
