MatrixHR is seeking a HR Generalist to join our clients dynamic team in Kitimat, BC. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR activities, managing employee lifecycle transactions, advising on HR policies, and collaborating on various projects and initiatives.
Contract Length: 6 Months
Location: Kitimat BC. This will require candidates to be local to the area or willing to relocate for the length of the contract.
Wage: $43.10/hour, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Operations Support: Provide operational and administrative support to HRBPs, leaders, and employees.
Employee Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of employee data in the HR management system (Workday).
Lifecycle Support: Offer HR administrative support across all areas of the employee lifecycle, including parental leave, terms and conditions, and organizational changes.
Policy & Employee Relations: Advise on HR policies and procedures, employee relations, performance, labor, and regulatory issues.
Coaching & Case Management: Provide coaching to leaders and employees, supporting effective workplace relationships and managing cases across the employee lifecycle.
Special Projects & Initiatives: Support ongoing and special HR projects related to employee engagement, performance, retention, and more.
Talent Acquisition Support: Assist with candidate relationship building, screening, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and coordinating assessments.
Collaborative Coordination: Work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient recruitment process.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report HR data to HRBPs and leaders to guide decision-making.
About You:
Experience in generalist human resources.
A Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in HR or a related field.
CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) and/or RPR (Registered Professional Recruiter) designation are assets but not required.
Proven track record in delivering service excellence in an operational HR environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Flexibility to manage time effectively and handle high-volume workloads with tight deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work well within a team.
