The HR Director – Windsor partners with Senior Management to drive strategic HR initiatives, foster a high-performance and engaging culture, maintain positive employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. This role will also be responsible to lead the local HR Business Partner team.

The HR Director also has the role of Senior HR Business Partner, acting as a trusted advisor for assigned leadership teams, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the business achieves its goals through effective people strategies and HR practices.

What does your typical day look like?

  1. Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the site’s business goals and the overall vision of the company;
  2. Collaborate with site leadership to drive a culture of performance, empowerment, and diversity & inclusion;
  3. Develop strategies to maintain positive employee/labor relations and minimize disputes and labor risk;
  4. Lead, manage and develop the local HR Business Partner team, providing support to operations;
  5. Adapt HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) policies, guidelines and procedures to the local reality;
  6. Provide guidance and coaching to assigned leaders (across sites) on organizational design, talent and performance management, succession planning, employee engagement and retention, labor relations, compensation and workforce optimization to meet business needs;
  7. Participate in the recruitment of leaders;
  8. Provide guidance to employees and leaders to quickly resolve employee relations issues with fairness and consistency;
  9. Collaborate with leaders to drive change management initiatives and foster a culture aligned with the company’s values.

What skills and training do you need?

  1. Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field;
  2. Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in HR as site leader or business partner roles;
  3. Experience in a global and matrix organization;
  4. Proven ability to develop effective relationships and gain credibility and trust across all levels of the organization;
  5. Strong coaching, communication and facilitation skills;
  6. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations with broad experience in labor relations;
  7. Knowledge of HR information systems is considered an asset.
