Your role and responsibilities
Job Summary: Develop and implement HR-related projects and activities for internal and external communications within the assigned area of responsibility, in line with global business strategy, Human Resources strategy, Corporate Communications strategy, corporate identity, Diversity and Inclusion, Philanthropy, and brand positioning. This position will report directly to the Country HR Manager.
Communication projects
• In support of the HR function, develops, facilitates, and implements communications programs and messaging, including marketing communications, publicity, editorial and social media content, web content management, HR advertising, and direct marketing to educate and inform key stakeholders including customers, management, employees, trade media, and interest groups.
• In support of ABB’s corporate social responsibility activities, develop and implement the annual philanthropy plan and communications to educate and inform internal stakeholders.
• Responsible for ensuring employees are familiar with the organization's HR policies and expectations.
• Takes the lead in the research, development, drafting, publication, and distribution of the employee Benefits handbook; conducts informational meetings, training material, and other communication forums to explain and discuss human resource policies.
• Supports development and translation of key materials including policies, organizational announcements, employer recognition awards, and employee recognition.
• Develop and implement communication action plans to support various HR-related projects and announcements – including team restructuring efforts.
• Counsel the HR Country Manager on the strategy for Employer Recognition Awards and draft all supporting documentation for application submissions. Develop content in support of receiving awards in order to ensure maximum awareness among target audiences.
• Lead the Employer branding project, working with a leading brand agency and bringing local and Global stakeholders together to ensure the project is delivered on budget and on time – giving other branding initiatives at the Global level.
Diversity and Inclusion
• This person will support the Head of Talent and D&I Leader in Canada with the local initiatives. These responsibilities will include but are not limited to: supporting D&I projects, events planning and roll out, facilitating awareness sessions, drafting content on the Intranet, newsletters, branding, research, etc.
Philanthropy
• Manages the philanthropic initiatives in Country in collaboration with other departments and functions.
• Co-lead the annual giving campaign strategy (including project management) and lead the development of all communications and marketing content.
