Job description

The Human Resources (HR) Partner Team Lead is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive the delivery of day-to-day HR support in coordination with the Human Resources team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of HR services to client groups within an assigned organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of HR Business Partners to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for the team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions) as well as deliver HR services and build capabilities to drive organizational performance.
  2. Coach and develop managers to build manager and employee capability, lead Employee Relations (ER) issues with business managers, and ensure appropriate advice is given.
  3. Partner with Human Resources Advisors (HRAs) and Centers of Excellence (COEs) on HR priorities in respective client populations to ensure delivery and implementation of solutions.
  4. Coordinate and ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of global priorities and life cycle processes.
  5. Facilitate organizational change as required by the business.
  6. Advise, train, and direct HR Generalists in HR related work, including cyclical, BAU, and end-to-end activities.
  7. Work closely with business and HRAs to ensure business alignment and HR priorities are met.
  8. Coach and influence business partners to improve their individual leadership regarding talent, performance differentiation, and enhancing the capability of their people managers.
  9. Manage business and HR projects/initiatives including Performance Management, Diversity, Talent Reviews, Organizational Design, Year-End Compensation, and Voice of the Employee (VOE).
  10. Maintain management, employee, HR colleagues, stakeholder, and internal/external relationships to achieve business and department goals.
  11. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated ability to relate to and influence individuals at all levels.
  3. Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Master’s degree preferred.
