Position Overview:
Provide HR generalist and administrative support for the Canada Goose Winnipeg Manufacturing group in various areas including: employee relations, compensation, recruitment, health and safety, onboarding and performance management. The HR Business Partner ensures all CG-wide initiatives, programs and practices are aligned to the needs of the business and successfully implemented.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide guidance to the Manufacturing group in Winnipeg on all employee relations matters by coaching employees and managers (with the support of the senior HR Manager) on the interpretation and application of policies.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of workforce relations and how they apply to Canada Goose.
- Provide new employees within the client group with a comprehensive onboarding program to enable a smooth transition into CG.
- Support the coordination of local training opportunities as they relate to the client group. Communicate, market, coordinate & schedule various training events.
- First point of contact for Workday inquiries for employees within the client group.
- Resolve conflict situations and investigate complaints.
- Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs to facilitate consistency and equity across all CG teams; provide regulatory and policy advice on workforce-related matters.
- Understand, interpret and ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislative requirements including the Human Rights Act, Employment Equity Act, Employment Standards Act, Workers Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, etc. as they apply to the regions covered.
- Support health and safety programs to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
- Provide expertise and support on performance management concerns through fair and consistent application of appropriate disciplinary procedures and/or legal requirements.
- Conduct and track exit interviews, identifying turnover trends and making recommendations as needed.
- Support recruitment efforts within the client group when the Head Office TA group is not working on the role.
- Administration of employee perk programs.
- Represent Canada Goose at job fairs, recruiting events, and open houses.
- Track and administer referral bonus program and assist in the composition and distribution of reward statements.
- Prepare internal HR-related documents including employment, promotion and transfer letters, termination forms, and progressive discipline letters.
- Ensure HRIS data is up to date and accurate; recommend process improvements for the system.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation throughout employment history for all employees.

- A post-secondary education in a related field, coupled with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Ongoing professional development within the Human Resources field.
- Excellent technical ability (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS).
- Demonstrated confidence in managing conflict situations and developing solutions in the best interest of the company.
- Working knowledge of employment/labour standards, Human Rights legislation.
- Well-versed in several HR functional competencies and best practices.
- Excellent influencing and negotiating skills.
- Creativity and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and ambiguity.
- Can easily make the needed connections between systems, processes, and individuals to facilitate change.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Keen sense of time management and flexibility; ability to multi-task.
- A passion for the entire people cycle.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent grammar, business letter and report writing skills.
- A clear and succinct communicator (verbal and written).
- Ability to think proactively, critically and independently to make good decisions.
- Understand and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

This position requires you to be on-site Monday to Friday.
