HR ADVISOR – 11 MONTH TERMActivity sector: Pulp and Paper

Salary: Typical hiring range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000 depending on level of experience
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)
YOUR ROLEReporting to the HR Manager, you will be supporting the full spectrum of human resources activities. More specifically, you will be the
HR support for recruitment, diversity and inclusion, community events, and training at the Mill. You will gain exposure to labour relations, compensation, performance management and feedback, and the implementation of policies and strategies. This temporary role is a maternity leave replacement and will start approximately August 2025, ending June 2026.
Your Responsibilities- Provide assistance on human resources practices and programs.
- Work with Sr. HR Advisor to establish recruitment requirements and participate in the full cycle of the recruitment process.
- Conduct recruitment efforts locally to find key talent and build bench strength, including partnering with local universities to strengthen Kruger’s brand and recruitment efforts.
- Support Diversity & Inclusion programs and lead programs on fostering positive partnerships with Indigenous communities.
- Support Sr. HR Advisor with investigations into employee relations issues and employee concerns while maintaining confidentiality, consistency and sensitivity.
- Administer compliance training and mandatory site wide computer-based training.
- Interpret and administer the terms of collective agreement.
- Develop and maintain a positive partnership with union leadership to ensure sustainable business operations and results.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with employees by ensuring a sense of confidentiality, mutual trust, concern, respect and teamwork.
- Maintain compliance with federal and provincial regulations concerning employment.
- Manage local records and reporting.
- Successfully complete all other duties and assigned projects necessary to support plant operations.

Your Qualifications- Currently doing or graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Experience leading full cycle recruitments.
- Strong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite; previous experience using HRIS is an asset.
- Experience in Diversity and Inclusion program and/or Human Resources is an asset.
- Labour relations and performance management experience is considered an asset.
