Primary Accountabilities and Duties:

  1. Functions and tasks will include but are not limited to:
  2. Recruitment and selection
  3. Candidate paperwork
  4. Schedule interviews
  5. Conduct background checks
  6. Badge appointments and follow ups
  7. Ensure full compliance with the recruitment process, policy and procedure
  8. Induction and Onboarding
  9. Prepare all related paperwork
  10. Conduct the HR induction process with new hires
  11. Analyze and process leaves and return to work
  12. Investigate and answer claims or correspondence concerning unemployment
  13. Investigate and answer correspondence relating to workplace incidents and discrimination
  14. Assist with employee queries, employee recognition distribution and creation of documents
  15. Assist with general administration
  16. Filing
  17. Data capturing
  18. File retention and audits
  19. Prepare letters and documents
  20. Ensure the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.
  21. Liaise regarding worker's compensation claims and prepare demographics data
  22. Gather and communicate employee data for MVA claims
  23. Assist with all other duties that may be assigned
  24. Functions must be executed in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner

Candidate Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Minimum of 1 year working in an office environment
  3. Ability to read, write and speak fluent English
  4. Must have strong relational and communication skills
  5. Typing minimum of 45 wpm
  6. Excellent organizational and administrative skills
  7. Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  8. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience essential
  9. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents
  10. Must enjoy working with a diverse group of people in a dynamic environment
