Housekeeping Supervisor

Oversee and coordinate daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure that the guest rooms and public areas are kept clean and orderly. Additionally, the Housekeeping Supervisor provides support and guidance to the housekeeping team, working in cooperation with management and other associates.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate the work of housekeeper(s) or specialized cleaners and janitors.
2. Inspect site facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met.
3. Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
4. Assist in training new hires and ensure a clean and orderly environment for customers.
5. Carry out duties in a positive and professional manner within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Assist in preparing work schedules and coordinating activities with those of other departments.
7. Ability to multitask.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Completion of Secondary School; a university degree or college diploma would be a plus.
2. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
3. Prior experience in hospitality or residential cleaning is preferred.
4. Experience in a fast-paced service environment.
5. Excellent communication and reading skills.
6. Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
7. Detail-oriented, reliable & trustworthy.
8. Able to safely lift upwards of 50lbs.
