The Housekeeping Supervisor works closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. In this role you will need to support the team to maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness across our hotel accommodation, Mt Cook Lodge, Motels, and staff accommodations around the village.

Experience in housekeeping environment is required along with a driving license.

We provide training to ensure you are kept up to speed with our products, services, standards, and expectations. You should be flexible and adaptable and have a positive and willing attitude.

In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in daily allocation of Room Attendants, Public Area Attendants and Laundry Attendants, taking a hands-on role in assisting with the daily workload as necessary.
  • Conduct thorough and detailed inspections of all vacant clean guest accommodation rooms prior to the arrival of incoming guests, ensuring all product specifications and standards have been met.
  • Reset staff accommodation rooms, ensuring rooms are fit for use.
  • Ensure effective communication with Front Office in relation to room changes, arrivals & departures, mini bar, laundry, and room item charges.
  • Ensure effective communication with HR team in relation to staff arrivals and departures, as well as any other staff accommodations.
  • Resolving guest complaints to the guest’s satisfaction within your level of authority.

Further Information

  • This is a permanent full-time position, minimum 60 hours per fortnight.
  • Pay range is $28.18 to $31.50.
